Our aim is software that is honest, useful, and made with care. We build our own products first, Cario is the first of them, and we measure before we decide, so what we ship rests on what is actually true rather than on opinion.

The name
Why Zastron
Zastron is a small town in the Free State, South Africa, where the founder grew up. It sits beneath Aasvoëlberg, the highest peak in the province, known for the Eye of Zastron, a natural hole worn clean through the rock. The name stands for building something solid and your own. The work happens from Warsaw now, in the heart of the EU.

Bonolo is a senior data scientist with over four years in the global pharmaceutical industry, where he builds clinical data and AI products under strict regulation. He started Zastron Labs to put that same discipline into products of his own. He works across the whole stack, from data pipelines and machine learning to the screens people actually touch. Cario is the studio's first product.
