What drives me

I am driven by one belief: data and AI are worth something only when they change what a business actually does.

Not a prettier dashboard, not a report that gets filed and forgotten. A real decision, a cost cut, a customer kept. Most people do not want data at all. They want what it buys them: time back, sharper calls, more money in the bank.

The work I love is building the systems that turn messy numbers into exactly that. Clean data pipelines and machine learning, pointed at problems that pay for themselves. That is what a data-driven business really means, and it is the whole reason Zastron Labs exists.

Why Zastron

I grew up in Zastron, a small town in the Free State, South Africa. Above the town stands Aasvoëlberg, and high on that rock is the Eye of Zastron: a hole worn straight through solid stone by nothing but water and time. Water found the weak line and kept at it until you could see the sky through the mountain.

That is the eye in the logo, and it is the method: I stay with a problem until it opens.

My path

Zastron first. Then a B.Sc in Mathematics. Then more than four years building clinical data and AI at AstraZeneca, in regulated pharma, where a wrong number is not an option and every result has to survive an audit.

In 2026 I founded Zastron Labs sp. z o.o. in Warsaw. One founder, no agency. The person you email is the person who does the work.

I am an athlete, and training rewards the same habit the work does: show up, measure, repeat. I grew up a long way from all of this, and most of the fuss around data still seems unnecessary to me.

What I am building

Cario is the first product: an app that tells Toyota Corolla owners in Poland the truth about their car. One model, the E170, 2013 to 2019, measured properly before anything wider. It is not on the app stores yet.
